It’s a cold rainy Pacific Northwest winter day.  Or as I like to call it, the perfect soup day.  One of my passions in photography is shooting food.  One of my goals is obvious – to make you hungry (or to entice you to try something new).  And so here we go with one of my favorite cold weather recipes – Spice Tomato Bisque with Goat Cheese.  Are you hungry yet?

Inspired by my friends, Michael and Fred who I visited last fall at their horse farm https://www.facebook.com/rockawayhorsefarm/.  I spent the most glorious week at the peak of fall color in New Hampshire with them.  Friends for years,  with many adventures under our belts (beekeeping, beach house fun, tornados, and shenanigans in the OR) they moved away to the East Coast and bought the most exquisite horse farm.  Set in quintessential charm of New England they are living a dream. They’ve 9 horses, 4 dogs, 1 cat, and a bunch of chickens (and I’m still trying to convince them they need some pygmy goats because, why not?).  During my visit, they fed me quite well and this was one of our meals that I can’t get enough of.   I had the most fabulous visit.  I can’t wait until later this year to do it all over again and hopefully capture a hunt.

If nothing else, I hope this image entices you enough to give this Spicy Tomato Bisque with Goat Cheese a try – it’s SUPER easy too!  YUM!
